It is totally fine! I met my boyfriend over xbox live and we loved each other before we met. Although meeting is slightly different you still know the person they are and thats what you really for fall in someone. We have been together over a year and have plans to be engaged soon, we try to see each other once a month or once every 3 weeks as we live a state apart. I wish you the best of luck, it is possible.
