Normal. Teachers usually notice, and it usually makes us uncomfortable - and that's certainly not because we're 'innocent' and bashful, or because we have a crush back!!
No, we're uncomfortable because we don't want the pupil to do anything or drag us into a situation that might endanger our entire career. With sexual abuse of minors on our record (which is what it would be called, even if everything was consensual, or even if the pupil somehow tricked us into something against our will), we wouldn't ever be able to work as a school teacher anywhere again.
To give an example of a nightmare situation for a teacher, an anonymous pupil on a fake gmail account recently sent me a 'd*ck pic' completely out of the blue. I have over 100 pupils; it could have been anyone, but the consequences of being found with anything that classes as child pornography can ruin a career, so I was naturally horrified. I had to contact my managers, the secretary and Computing asap and tell them before anyone else did and go through all kinds of checks and balances, so that I couldn't stand accused of having somehow invited it (in the event that any kid started bragging that they'd sent me a 'd*ck pic' and word got out to parents and the other teachers).
If your teacher doesn't act a bit uncomfortable about your advances or try to distance him/herself in some way, then they're probably either super used to kids having crushes on them and know exactly what to do to keep everyone safe, or they are seriously not to be trusted (or, your country doesn't have very strict laws on this).
By the way, if you're under 18, this site is not safe for you and you need to stop using it.
A child sent you a dick pic? Wow I thought my peers were disturbed, is this becoming a more common thing do you think? I’m so sorry you had to deal with that and hope the troubled child gets the support he obviously needs.
