This is something that teens usually say along with "I'm bored." I would guess that if you were in a dysfunctional family that it would feel like "life sucks", only you are not aware that its your parent(s) treatment or lack of treatment towards you that is the real culprit. However, you have a brain and can tell yourself to rise above it. There are thousands of subject matter that can be very interesting. Try to sample as many as possible and when you find one you like then just bury your mind into that. You will stop focusing on all the wrong things in life and then 'life sucks' just becomes a meaningless saying.
