I think you'd only need to come out if you're being asked out by the opposite gender and you prefer those of the same gender. I'm straight but I didn't even know my friends were lesbians until I said that guy seems nice you should date or why did you turn him down etc and they'd say they're into women. I feel like coming out isn't supposed to be a speech lmao we're in 2022 not 1952, it's pretty normal so no need to make an announcement
Who knows we all have our reasons. I knew certain members of my family would be supportive but that didn't make it any less terrifying to speak out about. It's like saying it makes it real like there's no turning back. It's scary. That's why I just threw it out there like yea
