  • I give you Matthew 25:31-46.

" [31] And when the Son of man shall come in his majesty, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit upon the seat of his majesty. [32] And all nations shall be gathered together before him, and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats: [33] And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left. [34] Then shall the king say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. [35] For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in:

[36] Naked, and you covered me: sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me. [37] Then shall the just answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and fed thee; thirsty, and gave thee drink? [38] And when did we see thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and covered thee? [39] Or when did we see thee sick or in prison, and came to thee? [40] And the king answering, shall say to them: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me.

[41] Then he shall say to them also that shall be on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels. [42] For I was hungry, and you gave me not to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me not to drink. [43] I was a stranger, and you took me not in: naked, and you covered me not: sick and in prison, and you did not visit me. [44] Then they also shall answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to thee? [45] Then he shall answer them, saying: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it not to one of these least, neither did you do it to me.

[46] And these shall go into everlasting punishment: but the just, into life everlasting."

    • I hope you just copy pasted it.

I dont take the bible literally. Plus I'm sure God, the omniscient entity isnt that cruel to his subjects to discard 60% of his creations because they were born in the wrong place/time.

That being said I'm agnostic but I really want to be Christian yet I cant honestly manifest my faith in it. I think there IS a God but I cant honestly say that it's the christian God.

I have to pragmatically hedge my bets and side with no god so I dont get blasphemer added on my sin list.

That being said the current pope sucks. Hes a poor Catholic pope/leader.

      • Why wouldn't you take the words of Jesus literally? He said that's the way it will be, so that's the way it will be. It's not because they were born in the wrong place or time; Jesus in this passage is referring to judgement day. In the days before judgement day, all shall know of the Lord, whether alive or dead. The Lord will speak to the dead:

"[24] Amen, amen I say unto you, that he who heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath life everlasting; and cometh not into judgment, but is passed from death to life. [25] Amen, amen I say unto you, that the hour cometh, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live.

[26] For as the Father hath life in himself, so he hath given the Son also to have life in himself: [27] And he hath given him power to do judgment, because he is the Son of man. [28] Wonder not at this; for the hour cometh, wherein all that are in the graves shall hear the voice of the Son of God. [29] And they that have done good things, shall come forth unto the resurrection of life; but they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment."
        -John 5:24-29

I suspect that it would be more than 60%. Where did you even obtain that arbitrary number? According to Matthew,

"[13] Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in thereat. [14] How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life: and few there are that find it!"
        -Matthew 7:13-14

You may still yet find the truth. You still have time to realize the correct path, though the day of judgement draws ever nearer.

To claim that God does not exist is blasphemy in itself. Your hedging bets is not helping you; if anything, you are being dishonest and lying to yourself.

I do agree that the current pope is garbage. We haven't had a good pope since John XXIII. Seriously, how do we have a leader who says the type of crap that he says.
