You only can get satisfaction from a game if you know that you can control the outcome of it to some real extent. I don't think other characters dying at different times would be considered a significantly changed outcome.
So only games with ending you can choose are considered satisfying?
That's basically just some rpg's far more games follow a set story and ending,
There are two different endings in walking dead and both have similar things happening with a massive difference in sentiment
