Ladies, would you take this as a compliment, or is it creepy?

  • Don't worry about it. I'm not mad. XD

Last time I used a dating site was 2015. I never used the websites that swiped left or right. I'd simply exchange messages with a man or woman and if they liked some of the same stuff I did I'd then go out and meet them. Most of the time the meetings were disastrous.

My profile was 100 percent honest from the get go and yet I'd always catch people lying to me. Some people were fatter than they were in their pics, some brought their kids to the date despite the fact that their profile said they had no kids, some were older than they were in the pics, others lied about their employment status, people lied about drug usage, hell some of the people were married and just looking for a three way or a partner to cheat with despite the fact that their profile said they were single and wanted a monogamous relationship, etc. There was also a ridiculous amount of severe mental illness and baggage people tried to conceal(these types can't hold job or do chores and were hoping for some sort of fairy tail prince or princess to come along, fix all their issues, and take all the pain away. That was NOT my thing at all)

I never used to ghost people. I was polite and would apologize and tell them it wasn't going to work. They were lucky I was polite after lying to me, yet they'd still sit there and argue with me as to why their lying was okay or why they thought I was wrong and why they thought we'd make a good couple. Some would get belligerent. You ever see a mentally ill person lose their shit in public? It's scary as fuck. Lol I just didn't want to deal with it anymore so ghosting and blocking was the next best thing I thought of at the time.

I have no clue how the online dating world is now, but it's probably still full of a bunch of liars hoping someone will love them enough to excuse the lies.

If I ever find myself single again, I might just either skip the online experience altogether or just go for a paid site.

    • Haha yeah that would get annoying how they lie. This reminds me my friend showed me his new girlfriends myspace one time and I said DAYUM SON WHERED YA FIND THIS. When i saw her in real life later she looked like 80 pounds heavier and didnt resemble the picture in the slightest. All her pictures made her look thin and sexy idk how she made them look like that.

      • She either used old pictures of when she was slim or she was just really good at using photo editing software. If it wasn't any of those, she probably took them from certain angles to give off the illusion she was slim. XD
