I always pay most or all of the check on the first date simply because I am the one who invited her out. And besides, that extra $10 for her half is of almost no consequence to me anyway so I might as well.

No, because that's how my fucked up sense of 'fairness' works, when in reality, that was most UNFAIR to go out again, if I wasn't all that interested.
I speak for myself here, no one else. It's not the reason I don't like guys to always pay. This was a once off.
