Kill for the song.

I am so weird for thinking this.. I was just hoping I'm not the only person who thinks this... There are some songs out there that have, affected my life, in a bad way. Some songs that I have played to my friends, and they've been just fine with listening to it and all that, but when I listen to them.. They make me want to kill myself. It somehow affects my brain so that I have to stop playing the song and fight against my self, to not do things I can't undo. This is not only with songs, but the series that is called '13 reasons why' is... I can't really explain it... It just doesn't, make me curious for the next tape, or, wonder what's going to happen. It makes my brain think there is nothing to live for. And I know there are people that really love me and care for me. But the fact that, I have told them about this, but they don't care. Can someone explain this to me and tell me if I need to get help or something...

It sounds like early signs of depression. What you are describing sounds like triggers. Stay away from them, and get help.

If you are having suicidal thoughts you should probably stay away from a series solely about suicide ..
However it's pretty common for certain songs to have that effect on people, I've been there ..
As for getting help, if you are otherwise happy and mentally well then just stay away from triggers like songs/certain films and tv .. but if you do think you need help, get it before things get any worse ..

For me, this is slightly true. I listen to certain songs, and I imagine how amazing it would be to be free of it all. However, music mostly just makes me want to kill people. I am not upset or mad, I just find it entertaining to see people (especially ones I know really well and think highly of me) scream in agony... Probably just me being psycho, though... But I feel like it is quite normal, though it would be really good to find someone to talk to about it. Hope you get it figured out!!!
