  • Well, I'm only 19 years old but, hearing from the accounts of old people, there was once a time where kids respected adults sinply because they were adults and this could be someone who was a parent to them to simply being just a neighbor or family friend. My theory is this, society has become very strict on the discipline action of kids. It seems everything today is considered abuse. Parents now day tend to be so focused on being the "cool" parent that they forget to actaually be a parent which in turn allows the kid not to take them seriously. I think more parents should put the foot down and stop being so afraid of discplining you kid. It's part of being a parent! I don't have kids and I don't ever want kids, but having been raised by two parents myself that were not afraid to discipline me (whether spankings were necissary or not) I can say a lot of people are being too easy on their kids. As is obvious, kids don't even respect adults anymore. They've never really been taught to respect and they know no consequence will come out of it.

All those lily livered cartoons/sitcoms like iCarly and Phineas & Ferb soften their minds and aid them on their path to becoming complete morons. Glad my parents didn't let me waste my time watching them (although I will admit I felt very hard done by).
