Maybe most kids just seem asshole-ish because they don't know better? I babysit my cousin's 9 year old son; he's gotten much more well behaved in the past 2 years. The only problems I've had with him recently is he can be nosy, he gets irritated with me for having sensory issues (I asked him nicely to stop shaking the couch and he didn't like that), and he told me not to like Big Time Rush because I'm too old. That kinda hurt my feelings because their music was one of the few things that comforted me after my breakup. But he's good most of the time, I have fun with him too.
Parents aren't always to blame for their kids' behavior; I sometimes tell my cousin if her son gets too out of hand, she'll talk to him and he won't do it again. But some other parents either don't discipline their kids, or worse abuse them, and that's why they're bullies. Sad but it happens.
Kids can be utter pricks. IIN?
