Keeping hair at bay

Hey so I've been having split ends badly lately and I finally got them removed at the salon and the person there recommended me all kinds of stuff anyways I'm one to almost always have my hair in a ponytail then bun and almost never down so when I was informed if I don't want so many split ends I have to wear it down more I was disheartened for one I don't know anything about wearing it down! Don't have anything for it either, I would like a way to keep it put of my face without using chemicals or hot tools, I have long straight hair so curls arnt a problem but anyways any suggestions for keeping it down but also out of my face? I dont mind a little in my face as long as its on tge left side but right now i look down pr something and its conpetly covering my face till i fix it. How well do those hair bands and such work? I feel like a little kid told to go pick up a tool for there dad without being told or showed what any of the tools are

hair is follicles are alive and they excrete nonliving protein. here allow me. eb 1, 2018 - It’s not alive by most definitions — it’s a strand of dead protein structures. The hair follicle, on the other hand, is a complex little collection of specialized cells which are very much alive. ... Hair is non living since the cells in the hair is keratinized.

    Mini hair clips, 90s style?

Another reason you shouldn't be tying your hair up all the time (especially tightly) is that it can cause traction alopecia. This is when tension on the hair gradually causes a receding hairline. Wearing the hair loose around the face prevents that.

You have to cut split ends off though, that is the only way to get rid of them. No product that claims to "seal" them actually does.
