Let's put your "highly educated opinion" to the test. I do believe the karma system encourages good comments by rewarding the writers of good comments. As for trolling, the karma system might not stop all trolls, but trolls are gonna troll and at least the karma system hides the most downvoted comments.

The way you talk is like you just believe anything some authority figure tells you. I'm sure there's an explanation somewhere on this site that "explains" the karma system and you've decided that that's the end all be all and that there are no other possibilities. Pull your head out. I hate people who don't do any critical thinking. The karma system is obviously bullshit.
Just because I agree with the site doesn't mean I didn't do any critical thinking. I thought about it and decided I agreed. You thought about it (hopefully) and decided you disagreed. My opinion isn't any less than yours just because I agree with the site.
And if the karma system is "obviously" bullshit, then why does the majority of people think it should be kept?
I don't get how your comment relates to the topic of IIN's karma system or my original comment. I never said anything about education. Although your comment shows that maybe some grammar education might not be a bad idea.
