I can't believe that K-Pop is winning. I think J-pop is in a league of its own, so many talented writers and producers. K-pop is too minimalist for me, the songs are boring, predictable clones of each other. K-pop is way too group focused, has boring melodies, shitty lyrics, and sounds worse because Korean isn't as attractive a language as Japanese. Case and point, I haven't yet heard a K-pop song I love, and I love countless J-pop songs.
