Just a question: is it normal to take my meds on my own?

I have bodily complications and I found out, and suspect my diet doesn't cause stomach problems, my messy flat over 6 years ago did, which is why I need a bunch of drug-based non-prescription pills (as many different ones as needed for different problems), so I'm breaking my own rule because to me it's risk-free and smart enough to avoid its danger I know what I'm doing, for example I pop an Aspro Clear in cold water and drink it when I have stomach problems, I use the Telfast for my sneezing/coughing, I use paracetamol even the cheaply made one to be gentle on the stomach, mostly Aspro Clear is to clear my headache, and I'm not addicted to them and haven't ruined my life with them. In fact my mother says I'm doing it for attention, Wendy my worker at the facility I live in is trying to take the medicine away from me because they're not prescription and I get in a medical argument with her as to whether the doctor is the only one who's right, I observed the use of all those meds from my father and I think it's normal, do you think it's normal?

  • I started trying new meds because my doctor doesn’t know anything. But new meds I try I do bring up in my visits. But so far I’ve found nothing to help and tried a lot. I don’t see a problem unless it’s something actually dangerous. I usually try more organic stuff. But I hate taking meds and usually avoid them when I’m in pain.

      • Weird talk? Did I offend you at some point of your hourly IIN visit? Cause if you’re trying to be defensive or mean about something you’re doing a shitty job. Nothing I said was weird there assburgers.

No, not at all, I just thought what you said was humorous.

          • That I also take meds to help my stomach? Oh fucking hilarious. Maybe you should lay off the meds.

I'll lay on the meds, and then feel better!

I know precisely what the problem is, although subconsciously I believe in no drugs except perhaps my own (non-prescription medicines), it's not normal but I'll have to think about what you said (to normalise it) and then see a physician about my headache, my hayfever and that bug in my tummy (and eat soft-boiled egg when a doctor prescribes it as a diet).

Not probable, the truth is I'm living and breathing normal (Mum doesn't admit it's normal breathing), my life could be better with a side salad of the word 'stupid' just to humiliate me.

If it's not as real as I say it is why am I still alive?

Caregiver, why do you have a caregiver?

Because I once had a messy flat, none of my cleaning impresses them, they haven't got me a flat, it's been 6 1/2 years so I have to get a job and move out without official permission, I'm fucked!

So you have had issues in the past with hoarding? Move out? Are you in a group home now? That must be awful.

I'll bet your care worker also takes medication which isn't prescribed, because just about everybody does.

I don't understand why you'd take aspirin for digestive problems and too frequent use of aspirin can cause internal bleeding. I'd ease up on that if I were you.

You sound as if you know what you're doing so in my opinion it would be ok to continue as you are without frequent use of aspirin and keep it to yourself

I believe that, I won't tell Wendy or Mum about it any more.
