Just a normal college student?(tired all day)

Ever since starting college I am tired all the time. I'm yawning through classes everyday and coffee hardly does anything for me. I get 8 hours of sleep and I eat my veggies. But yeah, hard to work when you flop into bed at 6pm. Is college just wearing me out? I have class 12:30-4 Mondays, 9:30-4:30 Tuesdays/Thursdays(hour break in the middle), and 9am-12 Fridays. I feel miserable and I just want to enjoy dorm activities. But I can't if I'm falling asleep at 7-8 pm. It's a miracle if I stay up until 9. I usually crawl out of bed at 7-8 am.

Maybe you have a disorder like M.E. or something. Or a food intolerance. Noone should be that tired with 8 hours sleep. Are you depressed perhaps?

Well normal college students don't get that much sleep actually. If you get 8 hours a night you should be fine, it will just take some time to adjust to your new schedule. Give yourself a week or two. Also maybe take some melatonin tabs before bed to fall asleep quicker.

  • Takes time to get back used to schedules. New things take tolls, You’ll likely be more tired and sleep more at first you get used to things more you do it.
