When I go shopping, I tend to worry what people think of me based on my purchases and how I behave in the store.

I have been buying puréed fruit baby food and I wonder what the cashiers think. I feel almost ashamed to by it. I don't have a baby. Do they think that I do? I buy them because the glass jars are perfect for fire cupping. The food is healthy and easy for me to swallow.

Behaviour wise, I don't go around the store acting like a childish brat, I'm far too old for that nonsense. I just can't help to feel that I'm not shopping normally and that I'm sticking out like a sore thumb.

    If you want a genuinely awesome reaction by some poor sap working at the registers, go to a grocery store and buy condoms, whip cream, some vodka and some lube=gold!

    Please explain to me why you think any stranger has the time, inclination or any interest in you and what you purchase in a store?
    I'm pretty sure they don't. Most people are so self preoccupied that they don't notice shit, outside of their own little space. I think you can stop worrying, nobody's interested, honey.

    Lol I worked at a grocery mart and I never once even really acknowledged what people bought. You could buy it 50 times and I'm too tired to know or care.

    They're not watching you shop, OP. Chances are they don't care about you or anything you buy, so there's nothing to worry about.

    You shouldn't fret over it. I'm sure that there's people out there that bought far more embarassing things than you have. They're there to ring your groceries in, not make snide or rude judgements about them.

    I dont think any one ia paying attention it would probablh be different if u had a bjnch of junk food in your cart and people would be like dam that guy must eat like shit but for the most part when people see baby food in a cart they probablu think your buying it for a baby and the reason why you feel uncomfortable is due to anxiety your givng yourself by thinkong to much about people looking at u AND WHO CARES WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK JUST DO WHAT EVER YOU WANT TO DO

    Sigh, I really should just make my own baby food. That would be so much cheaper.
