You should be happy that you still get birthdays! My birthday hasn't been celebrated since I turned 5 or 6. I'm not allowed to have parties or bring over my friends. Last year, I didn't even get a cake! Every fucking year, it's just me, my grandmother and my mother. People I'm not very fond of. Last year, I asked if I could have a party & they told me that because I'm old that I don't deserve to have my birthday celebrated! On top of that, no one remembers it. I remember all of my friends birthdays, but no one remembers mine. My birthday makes me very depressed. You're very lucky that people have always cared enough to celebrate your 25 years of life! Forgive me, if I sound like a bitch but I gets to be very painful and unbearable after awhile.
