Sounds like more of a health thing. Deli meats and hot dogs aren't exactly healthy. Whether intentional or not you are eating a little bit healthier by excluding those things from your diet. As for what you should identify as to make it easier just say you prefer to eat kosher. It's almost the same thing as what you describe at the very least it is closer than saying you are vegetarian.

I am jewish so sometimes I do say that. But I am not kosher as I love shelfish, which is a big no no

I'm curious...I know shellfish is a no-no for Jewish people but why is it a no-no for Jewish people? What makes it off limits?
