It was so big i didn't think it would fit, but he got it in

So my boyfriend just bought an old military humvee and this thing is huge! I never thought it would fit in our garage but he got it in somehow. He is always buying weird shit like that. I do admit it is a lot of fun though. Is it normal for men to spend a lot of money on random dumb shit? A vacation would have been a lot of fun too...

Y'know when girls see that new handbag and just have to have it... Same thing with us men, only with us it's big and expensive toys. I bought a 1980s BMW 635CSI that doesn't run last summer and I remapped my car's ECU for more power and this summer I plan on buying a jetski, even tho I have no way of getting it to water, since neither of my cars have tow hooks. Parents car has no tow hook either. But still, I'm gonna have a jetski!

    • That's funny you sound like you and he would be besties, you could have your bmw towed next to his maserati biturbo that doesn't run and y'all can "work on them" for years together and make no visible progress lol.

I've done (some progress)... I replaced the fuel pump and the spark plugs. And I gave the ECU to a friend, so he can have a crack at fixing it. I also replaced some dashboard trim. But obviously the car still doesn't run XD
But one day she will and my girlfriend will stand in amazement at my brilliance as we go for a nice relaxing drive to the beach. Assuming it doesn't break down on the way...

Also I'd enjoy that. Having a few beers and talk about cars, while we work on our cars. For a petrolhead, doesn't get any better than this. Also the bi-turbo is an amazing car. Almost never runs and constantly breaks down, but is still an amazing car.

    A vacation is a memory.
The hummer is solid, and can always be resold.
cant do that with your weekend in the sun.
But yea, the header was sexualized.
hell yea I have a dirty mind.

    • I couldn't disagree more, I would so much rather have the experiences of seeing the world than driving around the place I live in a humvee.

It's only normal if he can afford it.

    • He can but it's not like we're super wealthy though. This could have paid for a nice vacation somewhere warm.

If ya'll were married I think he'd have to consult you first. I just hope he's not wasting his money, and then having you pick up the slack. I sometimes feel lonely, but then I remember that I don't have to consult another person about shit, especially money. I'm also glad that I never have to pick up the slack from another person wasting money.

I dunno, right now I'm pretty jaded. Anyway, I'm just hella happy to not have to think about another person, and what he might want.
