Very few things in this world are more selfish than suicide. If y'all want to feel sorry for anybody, feel for those who have to clean up the mess the dead person leaves behind.
It's selfish for you to think anyone should stay alive in pain and torment if they don't want to any longer. Who are you to say anything about it? Why feel sorry for clean-up crew? That's how they make a living.
And it's not a clean up crew, it's the friends and family that have to put up with the pain and grief, and clean up the financial and most probably physical mess a suicide leaves behind, never mind all the legal shit involved.
But, from your post it seems you feel that since misery loves company, the person committing suicide should cause all who cared for him as much misery as possible, right?
You're just assuming those things and then automatically judging the dead person is selfish. Maybe none of those things apply? And even if they did cause grief (but everyone dies sometime anyway), a mess and cost some money again, who are you to say that's worse than the pain that person was escaping?
So? That doesn't give you authority to judge. You being inconvenienced or upset over it doesn't make them selfish.
And yes, my cousin killed himself. He's dead so being angry and judgemental is of no use. The only sensible thing to do is respect his choice. I honestly don't know how bad off he was, I only know part of it. It would be stupid for me to say his problems weren't that bad based on what little I knew.

I don't deny anyone else their opinion, except possible on religion.
I gave mine, if you wish, give yours. Why attack me for mine? You don't have to agree, but you should respect it.
As for Aussies, well I met some good ones and a few I didn't care for, but none as incredibly moronic as some on here.

Have you had to clean blood and brain matter off yourself and your dinghy, just because you were kind enough to give someone a lift out to their boat?
