Never blame present generation men for actions of the past generation, and this won't change the fact that men contributed much more to society than women ever did, from papers to the very devices you type on to spaceships. Some women did contribute, like say Ada Augusta, Florence Nightingale, etc, but most discoveries, inventions, etc were men's contribution. It wasn't until WW2 than majority women started entering workforce while men were busy fighting overseas. It is true women lacked the same opportunity as men before the 1940s but that doesn't change the fact that most of what happened before 1940s were the contribution of men, it is a myth that behind every successful man there is a woman, many never had women in their lives like Issac Newton (already mentioned in my original post), the Wright brothers ,(inventors of aeroplanes) and so on whose work were revolutionary and changed the course of history. And never blame present generation men for how women were oppressed in the past. With that said I do strongly support gender equality, may modern women have equal rights and opportunities as men. But never say that either of them were behind each others work, men's individual success is his own achievement and women's individual achievement is her own work. Saying behind every men's success there is a woman is plain double standard myth that should stop. That's all...
It said behind great men there is a woman, but saying it reverse is sexist?
