1. All the calories could be soda/fruit juice. Less poop.
2. I have overweight acquaintances who complain of pooping less than once a week. I think constipation in the obese and overweight is more common than your source is suggesting.
3. Not all obese people are overweight. The term isn't interchangable with "fat".
Many are "skinnyfat" and are technically in the right weight range for their height and size, but still have an insanely high percentage of body fat.

The medical definition of obesity is having too high of a bodyfat percentage. Skinnyfat people have very little muscle, which raises the bf% to obesity levels.
