I was on painkillers for some very serious colon issues once. Well, I don't know how serious my colon issues were, but I was in excruciating pain, had constant diarrhea, was on a liquid diet as per doctor's orders until the pain subsided, and was practically bedridden in the summer of 2006, and I didn't get addicted. I lived with this for roughly six weeks, and it was Hell!
I wasn't on painkillers the entire time, because my crazy, domineering mother practically started force feeding me white rice, and I started vomiting. When I told the doctor that I had vomited he took me off the painkillers, because he was afraid that I was having a bad reaction, but the thing is that I had neglected to tell him that I had gone off the liquid diet he had me on, because I was ashamed that my mother had practically force fed me.
I got off the painkillers after having been on them for weeks cold turkey, was told just to take Extra Strength Tylenol. The real saving grace was that I had a friend who got me some marijuana for my pain. I honestly think the marijuana worked wonders for the inflammation.
I guess some people have a predisposition to opioid addiction, but I don't have much sympathy for them, because they make it harder for others who have legitimate issues with pain like my father who has had two hip replacements, and two laminectomy surgeries on his back.
I myself had some x-rays done within the past 10 years which have shown that I have cervical spondylosis in my upper back. I also have bone spurs, and osteoarthritis. I'm certainly in no hurry to get any sort of back surgery done, and especially not by some shitty ass doctor back in Las Vegas. I don't know what it's like in Philadelphia, but I know Houston is known for great medical care. Yes, I miss Houston a lot!
It is normal to poop once every 3-5 days
