Every since I was little i would pick up a cat or dog and pick the fleas off of them, I can sit for hours doing it, if the animal will let me. I dont hurt the animal, I can just imagine the crawling all over them and I want it to stop. I want to stop doing it please help me.

When I was living in my first apartment back in my twenties I rescued this three-legged tabby cat, and I used to put rubbing alcohol on a tiny flea comb and run it through his fur to extract fleas. I dunno if it was a good or a bad thing, but my cat seemed to enjoy it. I also used to give him baths as well.
