Whenever I develop an interest in something, whether it be a book series, movie series, band, or whatever else... I become really obsessed with it for a while, almost to the point where I can't talk about anything else. It's not the weirdest thing on here but I kinda feel like it's unhealthy.
It is not healthy in most cases, although it may be normal. If I better understood the extent of it, I could better understand if it is a problem or not. But it doesn't sound good.
Not really normal, but I obsess over things from time to time, so I can't talk shit. Its not to the point where it's the only thing I talk about, but to the point where I look up fan art, draw fan art, and just think about it a lot to the point of dreaming about it. I'm currently obsessed with the Phoenix Wright video game series at the moment. XD

Its actually a sign of autism spectrum disorder. People on the spectrum become obsessive with their hobbies and have trouble talking about anything else. They also get very good at their hobbies/interests because they're so obsessive. It doesnt mean you're retarded if you're autistic. High functioning autistics (asbergers) on average they have higher IQs than non autistics. They just have a harder time in social situations.
