    It could be possible.
    I remember years ago I used to talk to a guy online that claimed to be a celebrity. He would never show me his face or anything because of this.
    I didn't believe him though.

      If they're openly making claims of being a celebrity, then they're definitely not. Especially if they then won't show you their face. A real celebrity would keep their identities truly hidden and refuse to even drop subtle hints.

        That's what I was thinking and that's why I never believed him. I think he was saying that because he was insecure about his looks.

          Maybe it's possible that someone claiming to be a celebrity really is because he/she then thinks "they'll never believe that I'm really a celebrity because they'll think that a real celebrity would never claim that they're one". It's kind of a reverse reverse maneuver.
