Yes! That is very normal. Females are notorious for acting/feeling "crazy". You're totally fine. I've felt like this. You left him because he wasn't a right fit for you, when you do find someone who is, these "jealous" "possessive" feelings will fade almost instantly. You'll be left wondering why you stressed over such a guy. You're fine :) Try to put a little more focus on yourself now that you're newly single, do stuff you enjoy and for now, seize all communications with this guy. It's just better for your emotional well being.
That's not what it is? There's more to it than that. It's emotional distress that takes a toll on a person. She isn't blaming him or wishing him a bad life. Jealousy, for the most part, is a personal thing to overcome.
