You should tell him it's a problem for you and that he needs to tell them to do things differently, or you should do it yourself. They may not even realize it's a problem if he doesnt say anything about it.
This seems pretty simple and you're just letting it get to you for no reason, I'm sure "try to be nice" translates to "I'm very passive aggressive" from the female to male language.
