We actually had a guy at work arrested for "threats of terrorism." Apparently terrorism is just threatening someone, making them feel they are in physical danger.
Interesting side note :-)
BTW there are legal investigations going on because, while people do owe money, the collectors can't legally threaten people.
There's no clear, concise definition of terrorism, but it can definitely come in many forms. Violence isn't required. It's generally summed up as making any kind of threat. The threat can be empty. It can be purely psychological. It can be violent too.
Most people think terrorism means violent extremists killing people and that's not the case in MOST terrorism that's done. Parents use terrorism on their children! "Behave or Santa won't come", for instance.
If they r bothering u, keep a log book by the phone and log each time they called what they said and talk to a lawyer who does civil litigation. In many cases u can sue them! Most countries have laws banning them from doing a lot of things; usually they violate them!
Is what I say to bill collectors normal?
