Well, in the book "How to Read Literature Like a Professor," the author says that vampires, whether real or symbolic, entail some woman (usually a virgin) losing their innocence and becoming hollow or "sucked dry." It was something like that, I can't really remember. Either way, I wouldn't go as far as rape, but it can sorta be that depending on how you want to interpret it.
Well yeah I think that could be kind of interpreted as such since sometimes not always the vampire forces the victim to give it up. Not always a voluntary thing.
Is vampires a metaphor for rape/abusive relationships/mental issues?
