Well, could be in a conversation with they guy he let slip that there is a vacant apartment and she is just taking the opportunity. And he knows nothing cause she just absorbed the information but never told the guy her situation.
Next would be she deliberately went out of her way to find a rental close to this dude. That would make her a stalker.
