You swine! I hate when people buy books and then "donate" them to me, saying they don't want them back. First off, I have to read the book, then I have to keep it in case they ever do ask for it back. On my bookshelf I have a lurid pink autobiography of Barbara Windsor (I couldn't even bring myself to read one page of it).
What I do, though (and I'll admit this makes me a tool) is put the worthiest books at eye level in my bookshelves, less worthy books above and below, then reference books below that, geek books below that and my bottom shelf is a like a charity shop nightmare.
Is this too rude? I think it's fun to do
