your hymen is a little string of skin across the inside of your vagina, and once sex has happened it usually snaps. unless you're like me, and many other girls, and you have what is called a septate hymen, which means it's a little too thick to snap. it's ok though, once its well, stretched, it should be ok. you can get surgery to break it if things get that bad.
