Is this normal?

Is it normal for a late 50's woman to have body image issues? I am terrified of getting fat and restrict my eating, I exercise with yoga but that's it. I weight around 138 5'71/2" and am a normal weight but am not satisfied, want to be ten to fifteen pounds lighter and wear no higher than a size six. I have longish hair and have tons of facial creams, serums, body lotions. I think this may be a bit much, what do you think?

    • I told my brother in law's friend the same thing, but he seemed really non receptive. Beauty is over-rated.

  • I think modern society has another victim. You should sit down and rethink what beauty is. If all you see in the mirror are negatives, quit looking. Compliment yourself more often. If you are worried about your waistline, accentuate your breasts. I worked for a dermatologist, most of those creams you pile on will clog your pores and age you more. Try a sunblock that reverses sun damage- the sun ages you faster than anything. Throw out Pe*ple magazine and start living your life. (another key to real beauty is to smile and mean it) I wish you all the best!
