This guy I know just recently got of a long term relationship and all of a sudden he is interested in "hanging out with me" look at his Facebook page it was pretty serious they were "in love" what ever the hell that means. And when I asked him why he randomly contacted me after so long. His reply was I would have hung out with you then I just wasn't single. And at first I was like oh how sweet but after I thought about it... Kinda made me feel like a fall back option or a booty call am I over reacting or is that what's happening

    Very probably using you as a rebound. If you'd be looking to invest in a real honest relationship with this guy... don't even bother. He's still getting over his ex, it won't be a genuine relationship.

    It's tempting, right? He's probably cute, you have a mild crush on him, and he's single; your chance to shine! Nope. He's currently grieving over his previous relationship, but instead of facing it head-on, he's going to use a substitute (you), a warm body to hold and continue the relationship he once had (rebound). Bad thing about this, you're not his ex, so depending on the problems the previous relationship had, you might get yelled at over shit she did or compared to her a lot.

    In the end, just keep it a friendship. If he starts asking for sex or relationship, look him in the eyes and ask if he's over his ex; because you don't want to be a rebound; if not, then you'll like to remain friends.
