Is this growing more common now? woman accused my friend of being racist?

So this is intense...

Me and my friend were at a street fair, went up to a vender at her table she was selling some card holders which were a thin piece of fabric with some pockets to hold credit cards etc.

Anyway my friend Is looking and she really liked one as it had some birds on it and it's her mom's birthday soon and it was teal really cool, nice gift for her mom so she sees that it's $13 and she only has a $12 with her and she notices the sign shows cash only as many of the vendors at this fair are. I didn't have any cash on me because we stopped there spontaneously.. and so she sais to the woman excuse me I really like this could I possibly get this for $12? Because if you're unfamiliar, many people haggle.

So then the woman who is African American whom we have literally zero care about someone's skin color goes off on her bad so bad she made my friend cry. I won't forget the first thing she said, "thats them white privilege white privilege you see a black woman and think you can do what you want" she then called my friend a racist black hater and my friend tried to explain but the woman's friend came back and got next to her and said get the f*ck away you white piece of sh*t. They then proceeded to shout go back to Europe at us and the one followed us a good minute walk away creeping us out.

We left the fair but that was so intense. Is this normal

I think the woman you spoke to was a fucking idiot. It happens sometimes, just shrug it off and move on. Sadly there are idiots everywhere.

That made you cry? I would have just laughed. You must not come in contact with many black Americans if that’s new to you.
    Dumb outrage trolling.

Thats why she will never be successful. That attitude doesn't help black people at all and actually hurts the person that has it. In her world nothing can be her fault and everything negative she experiences is because she's black. So how can she ever better herself?

    Wow.

With that sort of attitude towards potential customers - the majority of whom will probably be of European ancestry - the vendor is unlikely to prosper. Even if she isn't as blatantly obnoxious as she was with your friend and she manages to avoid trotting out her stereotypes with most white customers, she's probably constantly giving off signals that she despises white people and believes every one of them is out to screw her over. People will pick up that attitude, and avoid even approaching her stand.

From how you describe the card holder, it's extremely unlikely that the cost to the vendor was anywhere near $12, and so selling at that price would not have meant her taking a loss. Any sensible person knows that if you're selling something, reducing the stated price a little makes people believe they're getting a bargain, that positive feeling makes them more likely to return to buy more, and so you increase your profit in the end.

McDonald's is currently running their Monopoly promotion again here, and we won three free apple pies on our recent visit. They didn't give them to us because the CEO was having a good day and was feeling generous. They give away prizes because research has found that this improves their bottom line.

If it's any consolation to your friend, she can know that the woman was doing herself no favours. Those near you would have heard the exchange, and some possible white customers would have no doubt done a body-swerve when they did. I know I would have.

Since I'm not black and I don't live in the States, I have no idea if this sort of thing is becoming more common. I do know that there are people from every ethnic background who are angry, obnoxious, and enjoy confrontation.

I'm a light skinned Puerto Rican. I remember this one time a dark skinned Puerto Rican who thought I wasn't Puerto Rican accused me of hating Hispanics because I wouldn't take up his offer for a drink. The best thing to do is walk away from the people making fools out of themselves. Once they blow up and act like toddlers there's really no point in trying to reason with them.

Yeah, it is normal for them to act that way. Perhaps you and your friend didn't know but take the lesson and move on.

This is why it is not a good idea to do any kind of business with blacks. You are asking for trouble when trying to conduct business with them.

This bullshit on social media talking about how we are all alike? Telling people that is setting them up for failure. It is similar to when people talk about or show videos of how gentle a pit bull is.

There are certain things in this world where you CANNOT forget what or whom you are really dealing with. Doing so can get you ripped off, hurt, or even killed.

I guess the real question is - why is there all this deception about "we are all alike" or trying to show how "cute" some of these mutoid animals are? Rule of thumb - if you would be afraid to meet it in an isolated location, it is probably a health hazard.

Now is this a true African American (someone born in Africa who came to America), or just some normal black person?

It's very common, racism is the only thing they can do well.

I don't know much about trolling but the end bit sounded like it.
