Is this a normal thing about doors?

I have a thing about doors. In a car, I can't open my door and leave until somebody else has, and unless it's glass, I can't enter a door unless somebody entered before me. Is this common?

    Are you worried that somebody scary is on the other side of the door? So you need someone to come out the door to make sure it's OK?

      It's less somebody scary I fear, more just the fact I don't know whats going on? Going behind somebody, I feel like I can hide behind them, I don't know how to explain it.

      I don't think I have ocd, having read about it I don't relate to any of the symptoms. I don't obsessively repeat anything or get intrusive thoughts about it when not directly confronted with it.

        What you described is an OCD symptom. I use to do similar stuff I had to check my refrigerator every few hours to make sure its not open.

      I don't know why, I just get really panicked and don't know what to do, I can't bring myself to leave/enter. I don't drive so it's not a concern, and I either wait for someone else to come by or text somebody inside to come outside and meet me. In my house, the front door has glass and I leave all other doors open.
