My 6 year old daughter just recently started masturbating and I'm thinking about showing her some techniques so that she can achieve a better orgasm. All of your comments crack me up! I do not think it is normal to do this for a 6 year old. You just need to tell her if she is going to explore her body to do it alone in her bedroom and to talk to her about inappropriate touching as from a stranger or someone in the family. Please talk to her about this and tell her that that is her private place and no one but her is allowed to touch it. Remember she is 6 years old. This is a loaded question, but assuming it is real and assuming you are her Mother - then I would say that it is fine.
I would advise against a vibe though. One can become dependant and numb to effect after awhile.
My sister and I were taught by our mom how to masturbate, a learn by watching type thing, when we were about ten or so. Six is a little young I would say, but not unheard of.
