Women have far more means of birth control than men, sadly. I think there needs to be more methods made for men. All you really have is vasectomy or condoms, perhaps an injection although I am not too sure.
It's most likely profit-driven. Drugs need to be profitable enough to justify creating and providing them. Being that there is a plethora of options already and balancing that with projected desire and actual use of male birth control, it's most likely not sensible profit-wise. Fucked up, sure. But when it's about the profits, don't expect equality.
To add to that, it's pretty easy, low cost and low-risk to manipulate female hormones to prevent pregnancy. It's far more difficult and much higher risk and with much worse side effects to fuck with male hormones. If a drug reduces male fertility it also (usually) significantly reduces sex drive...going back to profitability. Females are more accepting of drugs that reduce sex drive for the pregnancy prevention benefits because pregnancy happens in their bodies. Now we're back to profits again....
Is there any other option for men to prevent reproduction?
