I've been pretty abnormal all my life. There was the time I unthinkingly put a rattle snake I caught on the way to school, in our mail box so I could pick it up on my way home from school (my mom thought I was trying to kill her, but the thought never entered my mind), at age 6.
At 12 I was employed full time on commercial fishing boats, during holidays and summers and king crab fishing in Alaska at 15, yet somehow managed to actually graduate from high school.
I've never worked in an office, nor commuted, never had a vacation and very rarely had a job with weekends off. I have not lived ashore since 1969 for more than a month or two, every once in a great while.
My government hates me for I have no residential address, no US phone and they cannot classify me. I have to have a special exemption from the postmaster general to have my mail forwarded for more than 6 months (Patriot Act bullshit), and I've spent less than half my life in my own country.
I'm weird, a bohemian and a rootless wanderer, but I'm happy. That has got to be abnormal!
If I remember you are a musician? You can work almost anywhere if you are willing to play the music the locals or tourists want to hear.
Cruise ships also hire musicians and that's a pretty good gig, leaving you free to explore ashore in the day time, because you work in the evenings.
Many places like Skagway Alaska have bars that need entertainers for the summer.
I would love to gig on a cruise ship. I plan to get back into the music scene next summer with a few projects I am working on. I've been out of the music scene the last few years. Much due to certain bandmates choosing drugs over music.
Once I am back in the music scene I would like to tour. I spent a lot of my teen years in Alaska. They had really good food I remember. My Dad is an airplane mechanic and travels a lot too. He spends most his time in Asia now but has been to about 70 countries and never stays anywhere for too long. I personally know bands who tour to other continents and one of them just played at an NFL game for the Seahawks. I am hoping to be doing the same things within a couple years.
Is there any normal person in IIN?

Sounds like you have made better life choices than most people. Traveling is what I want to do with life too.
