Not only wolves, but also fox. Since the ban on fox-hunting in England, fox have been attacking livestock and pets. I read a few months ago of a fox actually attacking a man who was sleeping in his yard. The bleeding hearts always get involved in things they don't understand and make bad matters worse!
Wolves are canines but NOT domesticated dogs. Same as lions and tigers are not house cats.
If you treat them as such you'll likely get your hand bitten off.
As I keep saying, the "save the wolves" group has indoctrinated people into thinking of them as cute pets. This is silly and unrealistic. I'd say it was like putting cartoon disney eyes on a predator to make it look child-safe but... the original Disney animal films weren't so naive about wildlife.
Is there an animal that disgusts you?

This is exactly what I was talking about.
People go "oh how beautiful!" and continue to coddle them.
They put on blinders and ignore that wolves are now threatening the existence of other animals.
who's going to champion the elk?
