If you're religious and think there is a god, there's more options than just Christianity. The Bible is full of flaws and lots of times where the Christian God proves himself to be very cruel and stupid. You should think of all the things that a god would do (like creating an afterlife for animals) and believe in that god, since that god would make more sense.
Who said God isnt cruel? I dont agree with God being represented today that he's all roses and rainbows. Can you point out any flaws in the bible in general? I've had this discussion before and I haven't heard any legitimate flaws other than the "Angels went to four corners of the earth" which supposedly proved a flat earth. However the original hebrew text stated that differently. It was lost in translation.
Well, almost every single Christian in the world would say God isn't cruel. Like you, I wouldn't agree with that either. But that is the general representation of God in Christianity, despite our own views.
That was one of the main flaws I had, that God is supposed to be kind while also being shown to have killed thousands of innocent people, and approved of slavery and the subjugation of women, throughout the Bible. But there is also the flaw of how God was apparently intelligent enough to have created a planet and life, while also being so stupid as to create so many ridiculous rules, and so petty as to force lowly mortals to worship him under the threat of torture.
Plus historical evidence has proved nearly all of the Old Testament stories to be completely fictional. I know that Christians claim now that they were always meant to be taken as metaphorical, but that's a load of rubbish.
Also the story of Jesus in the Gospels was supposed to have been an eyewitness account, but was actually written decades after his death, most likely well after the actual eyewitnesses have all died. Not only that, but the story seems to become more exaggerated as time goes on. In the earlier Gospels the miracles are barely mentioned, while in the later ones they're much more detailed and grandiose, despite the fact that those later Gospels would've been written even much later after Jesus' death.
There's loads of other flaws in the Bible too. I found this page after literally just searching 'bible flaws', there's loads more here:

Just a point of interest, if you look at the egyptian religion many of the stories are similar to the bibles. The story of cain and abel is in the egyptian religion too. This is interesting to me.
Is there an after life for animals?

This guy is really good at debunking some of these theories. I use to read his work and watch his videos. Try watching this video.
