There's no magic pill that will guarantee giving birth to twins, but some types of fertility treatment increase the odds that more than one egg will be released by the ovaries during the monthly cycle.

Even if that happens and even if both ova are fertilised, there's no guarantee that implantation will occur, and no guarantee that both embryos will reach full-term.

I live in California and have a friend who knows Octomom, who had 8 babies after fertility treatments, so I think there’s something to it. Btw, the doctor who treated her lost his practice because she already had 6 kids with no way to support them.

My understanding is there are in fact certain drugs or substances that may increase the chance of twins, or more. However, not by much (from rare to slightly less rare); and the side effects (and potential effects on the fetuses and eventual babies) may preclude reasonable use of some of them.
