Many people who work have a lower standard of living than those on govenment assistance nowadays. Those that make a bit more bear an ever-increasing tax burden to fund the ever-increasing rolls of government assistance.
It's not enough that our political and corporate overlords have ruined the economy with failed policies (on both sides of the aisle) and made themselves wealthy while doing it. It's not enough that they change the policies in their own favor to protect their wealth.
We are witnessing the process of the creation of a neo-feudal system with two classes, royalty and serfs.
