Is that normal that feeling that i have with music?

I feel that "Happy pop music" always seems shallow both in content and in musical quality, people barely play the same phrase 80x in the same scale from the begin to the end of the music. Usually more introspective/depressive songs sound richer both musically and in writting.

    It is possible to combine happy with interesting and complex. Burt Bacharach's writing and arranging for example..
