You've never met this guy and now you're going to live with him for two months? Seriously. Have you NEVER heard of people getting into serious trouble in situations like these? You have no idea who this person really is even if you think you do. Listen to your friend, she probably doesn't want to hurt you feelings by saying the things I have and is desperately trying to get you to stay in other ways.
If, however, you have MET this person IN PERSON before and you know them, I think your friend has a problem...ask her why she feels this way, it may help more than asking us.
