Is romance normally accompanied by lust?

I've had quite a bit of conflict in my life lately and the root of most of it seems to be my inability to form (or motivation to form) "normal" relationships. I have a very atypical outlook on everything and it makes it difficult for me to relate to how other people see things. So my question is: do romance and lust go hand in hand? I understand that many people feel lust without romance, but I don't know of any situations where someone feels romance without lust.

So which comes first typically, the romance or lust?

      • Lust, I believe.

Yup lust comes first. Romance isn't really a tangible thing, it's abstract, like an epiphenomenon of attraction.

Hm interesting. This is probably the best explanation that I've received, thank you.
