Its definitely strange. Id be put off if I went into a guys apartment for the first time and he did this, regardless if he was nice, or rare or what have you. I'm just trying to imagine myself in your situation, just sitting there while this guy is smelling my pits and feet and I feel second hand awkwardness just thinking about it. D: but if it doesn't make you feel weird, then by all means, continue on..but if you like him and it makes you feel weird (I'm assuming is does since you came to us and are asking), then maybe try talking to him after you know eachother more..just go out and stuff but avoid going into his apartment until you sort it out with him.
