I have to go on a bus for 40 minutes for this date and we'll only end up meeting for an hour to an hour and a half. The interview is on Tuesday and tomorrow is Friday and I do not know why he'd have to leave early on a friday night date unless he's planning on seeing someone else after. Also, he is never available on Weekends isn't that really dodgy?

You just started dating, give it time.
Maybe he has a good reason for it. Maybe he doesnt want to rush you into the relationship too fast. Or has a long way to travel to the interview.
Your thinking about this too much. Just go to the date, have fun, and plan another one.

Maybe he's just nervous about dating and wants to take it slow for himself?
I dont know about the weekend thing. Maybe it's just his relaxing time.
But yea, I understand where your coming from.
